SMALL FACES: While Guns N’ Roses gears up for its possible return, Neurotic Outsiders--which features Guns’ Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, along with Duran Duran’s John Taylor and former (and future?) Sex Pistol Steve Jones--is working on its debut album in an L.A. studio with ex-Talking Head Jerry Harrison producing. The band was signed to Madonna’s Maverick label by Guy Oseary, the man who signed Alanis Morissette. . . .
A box set of three or four CDs featuring all the sessions from the Beach Boys’ much-praised 1966 album “Pet Sounds” is due in May. And a CD documenting the sessions that produced the landmark single “Good Vibrations,” a part of which was on the band’s 30th anniversary box set in 1992, is scheduled for October.
