Advance Tickets Gone: As of last Friday, there are no more advance reservations available for the “America’s Smithsonian” traveling museum exhibition, which opened Feb. 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The show, which continues through March 7, has been averaging 10,000 spectators a day, according to spokeswoman Beverly Jackson. Until last week, free advance tickets were available for a $3.50 service charge. An exhibition spokeswoman said Monday that there will still be between 500 and 1,000 free tickets reserved each day, for that day only, to be given out at the box office. Jackson said patrons have been lining up at the outdoor ticket kiosk as early as 7:30 a.m., and that the day’s tickets are usually gone by 9:30 or 10 a.m. Patrons who pick up reservations for later in the day do not have to remain in line until their appointment, she said. Jackson added that exhibition layout and traffic flow have been improved in response to complaints about long lines. “Things are really going well,” she said.
