Drug Arrests
I am writing in response to the comment regarding the USC students’ deaths from drug overdoses (letter, Feb. 21). Two things the writer obviously does not understand:
* The law simply does not make it easy to go and arrest people. There are legal requirements other than you and I knowing an individual is selling drugs.
* Drugs are readily available. It is not ignorance of peace officers but the lack of public support, public assistance and the leniency of the law that make the fight against drugs so difficult.
