A federal grand jury has indicted three Oxnard men in connection with several bank robberies, the U.S. attorney’s office announced Wednesday.

A grand jury in Los Angeles on Tuesday indicted Christopher Michael Jackson, 24, and Rodolfo Zamora on robbery charges in the Feb. 9 holdup of the Bank of America branch in Westlake Village, according to a statement from U.S. Atty. Nora M. Manella.

That heist led to a cross-county car chase before sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrol officers stopped the truck and arrested the men.

In addition, Zamora was charged with robbing the same Bank of America branch on Nov. 8.

Jackson also was charged in the Oct. 27 robbery of a Ventura branch of the Bank of America and in the Sept. 20 holdup of an Oxnard branch of that bank.

The indictments stemmed from a joint investigation by the FBI, the Sheriff’s Department and the CHP.

The grand jury also indicted Tommy Santos Miramontes, 31, on robbery charges in connection with the Nov. 1 holdup of the California Federal Bank in Oxnard and the Nov. 3 robbery of a Bank of America branch in Oxnard.
