METROPOLIS : The Medieval City
In this fantasyland that poses as a city, it hardly comes as a surprise that inverted history is around the cornor. L.A.’s castles can be found nestled in hills or spread across the suburban grid, sprouting up on miniature golf courses or strung along boulevards. There are office complexes with drawbridges and crenelated roof lines and a hamlet worth homes that sport turrets and parapets. Not to mention all those “theme” restaurants and inns with their moats and faux granite walls. Forget the future, here the past is always present.
