Free Class to Focus on Genealogical Research

The city’s Recreation and Park District is offering a free class today on the basics of family-tree research.
Genealogy for Beginners will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Cypress Senior Center, 9031 Grindlay St.
Additional genealogy sessions are planned on subsequent Tuesdays at the center, said Shelley Hellen, a spokeswoman for the park district.
