Ensemble Modern Canceled: As expected, “From Adams to Zappa,” the West Coast debut of the acclaimed German new music group Ensemble Modern, has been canceled due to the company’s inability to raise sufficient funds. The 27-member company, which was to have appeared with conductor John Adams and offered music by Adams and the late Frank Zappa, was scheduled for Veterans Wadsworth Theater on April 30 and the Irvine Barclay Theatre on May 1. Refunds and information on other options for ticket holders are available at the point of purchase.
