Man Faces Trial in Father’s Death
A judge Friday ordered a Ventura man to stand trial on a murder charge for allegedly killing his father.
Lee Anthony Crowley, 43, was arrested in Oxnard on Jan. 27 hours after Ventura police found the body of his father, Robert Crowley, in his bedroom at an apartment complex on Telephone Road.
Crowley, 67, died of a gunshot wound to the chest. The younger Crowley has pleaded not guilty.
He is scheduled for arraignment in Superior Court on March 22. If found guilty, he could receive a life sentence.
