. . . Over the protests of scores of parents and students, Mission Viejo High School officials decided to keep the school’s nickname: Diablo.
Some parents said the name promoted Satanism, but they were outnumbered by booster club members who disagreed. Said one school board member: “Complaints have been coming in for the past 20 years.”
