City to Hire Appraisers for Underpass Project

Share

The City Council voted this week to hire appraisal firms to set values for property that may be acquired for the $7-million Highland Avenue railroad underpass project.

By choosing Boznanski & Co. of Orange and Gary Vogt & Associates of San Clemente, the council moved forward with a project that is opposed by merchants who say business will suffer during the construction.

City officials say that the underpass, projected to take two years to build, is essential for the safety of pedestrians and motorists who cross the railroad tracks at Highland.
