Interlink Electronics’ Revenue Rises 38% in ’95

Interlink Electronics of Camarillo has reported revenues of $10.7 million for fiscal 1995, up 38% from 1994’s levels.

The company also announced that it has recorded its first year of profit from operations--$68,000, or 2 cents per share, versus an operating loss in 1994 of $1.2 million, or 21 cents per share.

Interlink Electronics designs and manufactures computer pointing products, including desktop mice, built-in keyboard pointing devices and hand-held remote controls.

With offices in Camarillo and Tokyo, the company maintains alliances with Logitech Inc., Zilog Inc. and Stratos Product Development Group.

Net income for 1995 totaled $150,000, or 4 cents per share. This compares to a net loss in 1994 of $1.1 million, or 19 cents per share, before a one-time gain of $3.4 million from the company’s sale of its interest in a European joint venture.

For the last quarter ending Dec. 31, revenues reached $2.9 million, up 25% from the fourth quarter of 1994. Income from operations was $38,000, as opposed to an operating loss of $96,000 for the fourth quarter of 1994.

Net income for the quarter was $14,000, compared to net income of $6,000 for the same period of 1994.

Last year “was another year of continuous improvement,” said E. Michael Thoben, chairman, CEO and president. “Key to our success in 1995 was the penetration we achieved in the rugged portable computer and presentation system markets.”
