Fab Four on Top: The Beatles’ archival two-disc “Anthology 2” was the nation’s top-selling album last week, with about 442,000 copies purchased during the seven-day period that ended Sunday, according to SoundScan. That compares to first-week sales of 855,000 copies for “Anthology 1” last November, but sales of the first installment in the three-part series were boosted by a prime-time network television documentary on the band and the annual pre-holiday record-buying frenzy. Meanwhile, Alanis Morissette’s Grammy-winning “Jagged Little Pill” album fell to No. 2 after three weeks on top, selling about 226,000 copies last week to push total sales of the album to 6.3 million copies. Almost 1 million copies of “Jagged Little Pill” have been sold since the Feb. 28 Grammy presentations.
