Mattel Executive Resigns: Mattel Worldwide President James Eskridge, 53, resigned to pursue other goals, said Jill Barad, Mattel Inc. president and chief operating officer. Barad said the team of four executives assembled by Eskridge will now report to her. Eskridge will remain a senior advisor to the El Segundo-based toy maker. He was promoted to president of Fisher-Price in 1993 and to president of Mattel Worldwide last year.
