Valleywide : Hearings Planned for School, Restaurant

A city zoning official will hold public hearings April 8 to consider granting permission for a preschool expansion in North Hollywood and an increase in the number of entertainment venues in a Woodland Hills restaurant.

Applicants have requested:

* A conditional-use permit to expand a preschool on Coldwater Canyon Avenue north of Vose Street in North Hollywood by 800 square feet to 1,830 square feet. The school, located in a residential district, would accommodate 35 children and be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday. The hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m.

* Changes in a conditional-use permit to allow Graciana Tortilla Factory, located on Canoga Avenue south of Victory Boulevard in Woodland Hills, to have live entertainment in all rooms of the restaurant, to stay open until 2 a.m. Thursday to Saturday and be exempt from providing security guards Thursday to Saturday. The hearing will be held at 2 p.m.

The hearings will take place at the Sherman Oaks Woman’s Club, 4808 Kester Ave.
