The Dodgers reduced their roster to the 25-man limit before Saturday night’s game against the Angels by optioning pitchers Antonio Osuna and Billy Brewer and infielders Mike Busch and Garey Ingram to their triple-A team at Albuquerque.

Four nonroster players, pitcher Mike Harkey, catcher Tom Prince and outfielders Rick Parker and Reggie Williams were also assigned to Albuquerque. Pitcher Narciso Elvira’s contract was assigned to Monterrey in the Mexican League.

The Dodgers put pitcher Scott Radinsky on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Thursday, with tendinitis in his left middle finger.

Sending Osuna to to Albuquerque seemed a surprising move for the Dodgers. Osuna, who was 2-4 with a 4.43 earned-run average in 39 relief appearances in 1995, was 0-0 with a 5.68 ERA in seven appearances this spring.

There’s probably going to be some discomfort for awhile, but I’m improving and looking forward to opening the season Monday.”
