FRESNO--Quilts, antiques and other treasures take center stage at the 29th annual Mennonite Sale and Auction, April 12-13 at Fresno Pacific College, 1717 S. Chestnut St. In addition, there are food booths, games for kids, an art exhibit, and baking, quilting and spinning demonstrations. Friday-night events include a quilt preview and antiques auction. LANCASTER--The California Poppy Festival is 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 13-14 in Lancaster City Park, 43011 N. 10th St. West. SAN FRANCISCO--The San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival, a springtime celebration of Japanese culture, is April 13-14 and 19-21 at various locations in Japantown. Highlights include an arts and crafts fair, food bazaar and entertainment, both weekends; Children’s Village, April 13-14, and the Grand Parade, 1 p.m. April 21.
