AT&T; May Unplug PersonaLink Network: The New York-based telecommunications company is “now contemplating terminating” PersonaLink in favor of an Internet-based online service, according to a Form 10-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by Sunnyvale, Calif.-based General Magic Inc., which provides Telescript software technology, designed to let users send electronic agents into networks to find and monitor information on their behalf, for the network. PersonaLink is the only commercial online service that uses Telescript. PersonaLink, launched in 1994, has failed to attract much business. AT&T; Corp. spokesman Michael Cuno said the company plans to add Internet standards to all of its online services but he would neither confirm nor deny that the company may cancel PersonaLink.
