Chile Assumes Presidency of U.N. Security Council

UNITED NATIONS —
Chile’s U.N. ambassador, Juan Somavia, on Monday took over the presidency of the 15-member Security Council for the month of April from Botswana’s ambassador, Legwaila Joseph Legwaila.
The presidency rotates monthly according to the English alphabet.
