Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky on Thursday helped dedicate the West Knoll Apartments, a 136-unit senior citizens complex in West Hollywood.

The public housing project received a face-lift funded by $1.5 million from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. Most of the money was used to build a community room for the residents, said Sam Lucchese, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission.
