Nation IN BRIEF : OREGON : Explosions Blow Up Storage Shed, Truck
Three explosions in Moisier, Ore., blew up a storage shed and a truck owned by a self-described survivalist, hurling stored bullets and shredded bomb-making literature into the air. At least 30 homes were evacuated. Hundreds of pounds of live explosives remained on the rural property as authorities searched for the owner and investigated the cause of the explosions. A neighbor described the owner, Ray Hamblin, as a survivalist. He said Hamblin told him the shed was a garage and that he was going to be building a house eventually.
