Cerplex Group Gets Contract for Service at Cisco Systems

The Cerplex Group Inc. has been awarded a one-year, $1-million contract to provide high-technology repair and logistics services for certain computer products made by Cisco Systems Inc.

Cerplex, a computer and electronics repair and technical support company, will work on Cisco’s routers, which direct messages on computer networks to the proper destination.

Separately, Cerplex said it acquired the remaining 51% of Modcomp/Cerplex L.P. that it doesn’t already own.

Modcomp is a joint venture partnership formed in December 1994 between Cerplex and Modular Computer Systems Inc. in Florida, an affiliate of AEG Daimler-Benz Industrie in Germany. Cerplex did not disclose the acquisition price.
