3 Teens Arrested on Bomb Charges
Three teenagers were arrested Friday on suspicion of making bombs after neighbors reported hearing several small explosions, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies were called to the home of at least one of the teens in the 200 block of Milford Court about 2:40 p.m. and found an explosive device, gunpowder and other pyrotechnic equipment in the garage, Deputy Angie Prewett said.
The names of the boys--ages 14, 15 and 16--were not released because they are minors.
Prewett said the bomb was strong enough to kill someone. Several neighboring homes were evacuated as deputies dismantled the bomb, she said.
