Five people were arrested in a predawn raid Saturday at an Anaheim home, where narcotics officers found a methamphetamine lab in the garage, according to a police spokesman.

Officers received a tip last week that a drug lab was being set up in the residence in the 1200 block of Topaz Avenue, according to a police report.

Anaheim officers obtained a search warrant and conducted an early morning raid, assisted by agents from the California Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement.

Police said they found a “fully operational lab” in the garage, with suspect Ronald R. Estrada, 33, of Buena Park working on the final stage of the “cooking” process.

Estrada was taken into custody, along with Ricardo Reza, 27, Isais O. Castillo, 39, and Sandra Jean Andrade, 40, all of Anaheim. Christine Hernandez, 33, of Seattle was also arrested. All were apprehended at the scene, but it is not known how many of the suspects were living in the residence at the time.

The five were booked at the Anaheim city jail on suspicion of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Police also seized an unknown quantity of chemicals and methamphetamine.
