Valleywide : Opportunities for Volunteering

Volunteers are being sought for the Los Angeles Community Action Network’s ninth annual Human Race 5K/10K Walk/Run to benefit Los Angeles-area nonprofit organizations.

The race will be held May 11 at Griffith Park. Participants of all ages may walk, run or use wheelchairs. For information, call Jodee Armstrong at (310) 391-5770.

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is seeking volunteers 18 and older to work at the facility’s front desk and admitting department or to serve as messengers. Former teenage mothers 24 to 40 are being sought to share their experiences and offer encouragement to teen mothers in a support group. Bilingual applicants are encouraged. To sign up, call Regina Law at (818) 988-4430.
