TIDBITS : How to Ensure You’ll Never Walk Alone

Share

Walking is the fastest-growing activity, especially among seniors who are discovering that it is easy to do, increases overall fitness and can lessen the symptoms of aging. But sometimes walkers suffer from solo-itis, loosely defined as “the reluctance to walk unless prodded by a group of fellow walkers.”

Recognizing the power of the herd when it comes to exercise, the National Council on the Aging and the Advil Forum on Health Education have come up with Advil On-the-Town Walking Clubs.

To learn how to form a walking club at your senior citizens center or on the street where you live, write to: Advil Forum on Health Education, 1500 Broadway, 25th Floor, New York, NY 10036.
