A man who walked out of an instant tax return service on Monday with more than $2,000 in his pocket was promptly beaten and robbed by three men who were later captured, authorities said.

Daniel Slusher, 27, was “jumped by three suspects, one of them with a brick” in the 10000 block of Mac Street in an unincorporated Orange County area often called west Anaheim, according to Lt. Tom Garner, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim received only minor injuries in the 9:15 a.m. robbery and the three alleged attackers were arrested less than two hours later in Los Alamitos after they were stopped for a traffic violation, Garner said.

Seilala Faamausui, 23 and Mark Omara, 38, were being held Tuesday at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $60,000 bail, Garner said.

A third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was being held at Orange County Juvenile Hall. The three were arrested on suspicion of strong-arm robbery and possession of stolen property.

A fourth suspect, Donna Lynn Thompson, 34, was also arrested. Thompson was in the car with the three men and had some of the stolen money in her possession, Garner said. She was being held Tuesday in lieu of $10,000 bail.

All four suspects are believed to be residents of the section of unincorporated Orange County that sits between Anaheim and Stanton, Garner said.
