FBI Asks Public’s Help in Finding Two Bank Robbers
FBI investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating “the B-52 Bandit” and “the Bucktooth Bandit,” two serial bank robbers.
The B-52 Bandit is so named “because he’s heavy-set and large like a B-52 bomber,” FBI Special Agent Tim White said. The man is suspected of robbing three banks in Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Corona del Mar between April 4 and Monday, White said.
He is described as white, in his 40s, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet, about 225 pounds, with black hair, wearing eyeglasses and carrying a wallet and checkbook when demanding money, White said.
The Bucktooth Bandit is wanted in three bank robberies in southern Orange County between Jan. 16 and Jan. 23, White said. He is white, late 40s to early 50s, also 5 feet 10 to 6 feet, and about 180 pounds. He is of medium build, with graying light-brown hair and a full mustache.
“Both are pretty nonviolent and nondescript fellows,” White said. “They blend in easily with the customers.”
Investigators said the robbers wait their turn in line and then tell tellers they are armed. No weapon has been seen on either one, White said.
