Biomerica Inc.: The Newport Beach manufacturer of medical diagnostic products reported that net income for the third fiscal quarter more than doubled to $70,130, or 2 cents a share, from $33,271, or 1 cent a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 29 declined 9% to $2.1 million from $2.3 million.

Net income for the nine-month period was $225,622, or 7 cents a share, compared with $65,663, or 2 cents a share, for the corresponding period a year ago. Revenue declined 3% to $6.7 million from $6.9 million.
