PIA Merchandising Services Inc.: The Irvine provider of in-store merchandising and sales services reported that net income for the first quarter increased 28%, to $897,000, or 18 cents a share, from $703,000, or 16 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. Revenue was up 10%, to $26.3 million from $24 million.
