Rainbow Technologies Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of software protection and information security products reported that net income for the first quarter increased 23% to $2.7 million, or 35 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or 28 cents a share, for the corresponding 1995 quarter. Revenue rose 18% to $18.7 million from $15.8 million.
