Mitsubishi Motor Reveals Big Loss At U.S. Unit: The Japanese auto maker said that it would take a special charge of $304 million to cover losses at its U.S. subsidiary, which is the target of a sweeping sexual harassment lawsuit by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The company also said its president, Nobuhisa Tsukahara, is resigning for health reasons. Although Mitsubishi Motor Corp. Chairman Hirokazu Nakamura struck a conciliatory note about the sexual harassment suit at a Tokyo news conference, a spokesman for Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America Inc. said he did not expect a quick settlement. The company said the losses were due to the strong yen and that it is considering a new capital infusion for the U.S. unit.
