Where to find the best Belgian waffle? A magnificent mole verde? To-die-for dim sum? Times restaurant reviewers Linda Burum, Michelle Huneven, Jonathan Gold, Max Jacobson and S. Irene Virbila give their favorite platters a spin.

My favorite pastries are both made at Euro Pane in Pasadena, where Sumi Chang, Campanile’s former breakfast chef, runs her one-woman bakery. Some days my vote goes to the almond toast, a buttery brioche toast topped with raspberry jam and slivered almonds. Other days, I choose the cinnamon roll, a twirl of soft, rich bread with an addictive, ghostly thin glaze.

Euro Pane Bakery and Cafe, 950 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena; (818) 577-1828. Almond toast, $1.75; cinnamon roll, $1.85.
