Oxnard police on Sunday were still searching for suspects in the shooting of a 22-year-old man over the weekend.

Rigoberto Osegura Lopez was shot about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at a residence in the 200 block of Lupita Street, authorities said. He was later taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, where his family requested that his condition be kept confidential, hospital officials said.

Lopez, who had a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, was suffering from internal injuries, low blood pressure and foot numbness, said Greg Petersen, a paramedic who responded to the scene.

Petersen said he had responded to another gunshot victim at the same home 10 days earlier. Police would not confirm whether someone else had been shot at that residence earlier this month.

Lopez was examined by emergency room doctors, and a bullet was found lodged in his spine, officials said.
