ICN Reports Record Quarterly Income

ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc., the Costa Mesa manufacturer of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, said that net income for the first quarter rose to a record $22 million, or 65 cents a share, up 29% from $17 million, or 57 cents a share, a year ago. Sales rose 5% to $138.2 million from $132.2 million.
