Astra Widens Harassment Investigation

BOSTON — Swedish pharmaceutical giant Astra has set up an investigation committee to investigate allegations that the now-suspended chief executive of its U.S. unit and other officers engaged in widespread sexual harassment and misused corporate funds, a spokesman for the company said Friday.
The company also said it suspended two other top executives in connection with the allegations and investigation.
Westborough, Mass.-based Astra USA suspended Chief Executive Lars Bildman on April 29 after a preliminary investigation by senior company officials.
Kincannon said that George Roadman, vice president marketing and sales for the hospital division, and Edward Aarons, director of institutional business were relieved of their corporate duties as of Friday.
