Disney’s 1993 movie adaptation of a Mark Twain classic, The Adventures of Huck Finn, airs Sunday (Disney Channel, 7 p.m.). To get away from his abusive father, Huck takes a raft down the Mississippi River with Jim, who is trying to escape slavery. For the family.

As Mother’s Day approaches, Moesha has strong feelings against her family honoring her stepmom Dee on Moesha (UPN, Tuesday at 8 p.m.). The teen is still grieving the loss of her birth mother and is resisting forming a close relationship with her replacement. The gospel singing group Out of Eden performs. For the family.

The Adventures of Mole marks its premiere this week (Disney Channel, Tuesday at 7 p.m.). Based on Kenneth Grahame’s classic children’s book “The Wind in the Willows,” the British film is centered around a group of lovable but eccentric animated characters living it up on the river bank. In their first adventure, Mole, Toad and Rat take a hair-raising caravan trip. Then Mole goes to the woods hoping to meet his friend Badger; instead, he gets into trouble and has to be rescued. For ages 5 and up.

In this awards show, kids get a chance to pick their favorites. Whitney Houston is host of Nickelodeon’s 9th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, live from Universal Studios (Saturday at 8 p.m.). Comic actress Rosie O’Donnell will co-host from New York. Kids placed their votes on-air, online, at McDonald’s and at Nickelodeon studios in Orlando. Celebrity presenters and musical performances are featured. For ages 5 and up.

The Sci-Fi Channel presents the first four episodes of the half-hour series The Odyssey (Saturday at 1 p.m.). The series follows the adventures of a 12-year-old who falls from a tree and lands in a fantasy world inhabited solely by kids. For the family.
