Author to Speak at Library Group Event

Author Nina Vida will speak at a May 22 luncheon sponsored by the Huntington Beach Friends of the Library. She wrote “Between Sisters,” “Scam,” “Maximilian’s Garden,” “Goodbye, Saigon” and “Return From Darkness.”
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Central Library. Tickets, which cost $12, will be available through May 18 by mail order to the Friends of the Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach 92648. Information: (714) 842-4481, Ext. 5.
