Nation IN BRIEF : COLORADO : Boy, 10, Is Held in Tot’s Beating Death
A 10-year-old boy was being held in a juvenile detention center in Denver as a potential suspect in the beating death of an 18-month-old girl, police said. The baby was brought to the hospital with “significant traumatic injuries” to her body and died shortly after, according to a statement from Englewood, Colo., police. They said an ambulance was dispatched after emergency personnel received a call that the baby was not breathing. The unidentified boy was believed to be the baby-sitter. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
