Here is a rundown of upcoming events involving Pierre Boulez:

* Today and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.: Pierre Boulez will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in works by Stravinsky, Ravel, Bartok and Boulez at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Music Center, 135 N. Grand Ave. Philharmonic concertmaster Martin Chalifour will be the soloist in Ravel’s “Tzigane” and Bartok’s Two Rhapsodies for Violin and Orchestra. The program also will include Stravinsky’s “Agon” and Boulez’s “Livres pour Cordes” and “Notations I-IV.” $6-$58. (213) 365-3500.

* Thursday and May 25 at 8 p.m. and May 26 at 2:30 p.m.: Boulez will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in music by Stravinsky

and Harrison Birtwistle in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Pianist Mitsuko Uchida will be the soloist in the U.S. premiere of Birtwistle’s “Antiphonies.” The program also will include Stravinsky’s Four Etudes for Orchestra and “The Firebird” (complete). $6-$58. (213) 365-3500.

* May 24 at 8 p.m. and May 26 at 7 p.m.: The Southwest Chamber Music Society will play Boulez’s “Le Marteau sans Mai^tre” (with soprano Phyllis Bryn-Julson) and Berio’s “Folksongs” and Sequenza III (for solo voice). The May 24 concert is at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, 585 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. The May 26 concert is at the Santa Monica Museum of Art, 2437 Main St., Santa Monica. * May 28 at 8 p.m.: Boulez will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group in works by Berio and Boulez at the Japan America Theatre, 244 S. San Pedro St., Los Angeles. The program will include Berio’s Sequenza X (for trumpet and piano) and Boulez’s “Derive I and II,” “Eclat” and the West Coast premiere of the new version of “ . . . explosante-fixe . . . .” $12-$15. * May 31-June 2: Ojai Festival, Libbey Bowl, Ojai.

Among other festival events, Boulez will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic in his “Livre pour Cordes” and Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 on May 31 at 8:15 p.m.

He will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group in his “Derive I and II,” “Anthemes,” Sonatine for flute and piano, and “ . . . explosante-fixe . . . “ on June 1 at 9 p.m. He will conduct the Philharmonic in Stravinsky’s “Agon,” Four Etudes and Variations (Aldous Huxley in memoriam), and Ravel’s “La Valse” and Piano Concerto in G, with Mitsuko Uchida on June 2 at 5:30 p.m.
