* Barbara W. Lansberg; Planning Analyst
Barbara W. Lansberg, 39, a senior planning analyst for the law firm of Latham & Watkins whose projects included many valley community and public service institutions, died Sunday from cancer at Torrance Memorial hospital.
A 1985 graduate of Cal State Long Beach, Lansberg worked in the planning department of the city of El Segundo before joining Latham & Watkins. During her 12-year career with the firm, she was instrumental in the construction and zoning approval of the Phoenix House in Lake View Terrace and Coast Federal Bank in West Hills, among others.
At the time of her death, Lansberg, of Redondo Beach, was a member of the Redondo Beach city planning commission.
Lansberg is survived by her parents, five sisters, and two brothers.
