BISHOP--Hundreds of mules compete in 153 events at the Mule Days Celebration, May 22-26. Western classes, barrel racing, packing and comedy events, and more are featured 6 a.m.-midnight daily at the Tri-County Fairgrounds at Main and Sierra streets. Other celebration activities at the fairgrounds include Waylon Jennings concerts on Thursday, arts and crafts, and Western dances. A parade is 10 a.m. Saturday on Main Street. GARDEN GROVE--”A Strawberry Salute to Music” is the theme of the 38th annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival, May 24-27 at the Village Green. COSTA MESA--Activities in plaid fill the Orange County Fairgrounds during the 64th annual Scottish Festival, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 25-26.
