Workshops on Adams-Normandie Historic Homes

A series of Saturday workshops to teach property owners and renters in the Adams-Normandie area of Los Angeles how to upgrade and preserve their historic homes is being offered by the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency.

The free workshops, which are open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on June 15, June 29 and July 13 at Frank Lanterman High School, 2328 St. James Place, which is just west of Mt. Saint Mary’s College. Parking is available in the school’s teachers’ parking lot. The series began June 1.

The Adams-Normandie area, southwest of downtown Los Angeles, is one of the older residential communities in Los Angeles and is home to some of the finest turn-of-the-century architecture in the city, including Victorian, Chateau, Prairie, Colonial Revival and Craftsman.
