Share

The State Compensation Insurance Fund Building at Oxnard Town Center will be the new corporate headquarters of Seminis Inc., the largest vegetable seed company in the world.

Seminis, a majority-owned subsidiary of Empresas La Moderna S.A. de C.V. of Monterrey, Mexico, was formed through the merger of Petoseed of Saticoy, Asgrow Seed of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Royal Sluis B.V. of The Netherlands. The company has signed a long-term lease for more than 7,000 square feet in Oxnard, with plans to maintain its distribution facilities in Saticoy and its research and development operation in Woodland.

Seminis joins three other tenants in the building.
