Ventura Harbor Village is kicking off the summer with a new two-day festival, which organizers hope will become an annual event.
SeaFest, scheduled for June 22 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature musical concerts on two stages, a chowder cook-off, food booths, beachwear fashion shows and many other events. There will be several children’s activities, such as a Miss Mermaid and Mr. Neptune coloring contest, touch tanks, puppet shows, pony rides and a petting zoo.
A large number of boats will also be on display, including several U.S. Coast Guard vessels and the boat used by the American team in the 1987 America’s Cup competition.
