William F. Storke; Television Producer

William F. Storke, 73, television producer known for small-screen presentations of such classics as “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” Born in Rochester, N.Y., and reared in California, Storke graduated from UCLA and began his career as an NBC page during the dawn of television programming in 1948. By 1964, he rose to vice president for programming administration and four years later to vice president for special programming. He produced quality plays such as “Search for the Nile” and “Price” for NBC and later, for his own Storke Enterprises, “Oliver Twist,” “The Old Man and the Sea,” “The Last Days of Patton” and “The Ted Kennedy Story.” On May 30 in New York City of cancer.
