The site’s left-leaning sponsors encourage visitors to protest the Communications Decency Act, and there’s also an alert about a bill in Congress that could lead to more pesticides in foods and suggestions for other forms of “virtual action.”

* Follow the path of the Olympic torch at https://www.qualcomm.com/ProdTech/Omni/Torch. Visitors can see its zigzagging path from Los Angeles to Atlanta and click to see street maps with a marker of where it’s been in the last 10 minutes.

* The Twilightman Society (https://twilightman.com) works to raise public awareness of the potential for abuse of information technologies and takes reports from people who feel they have been victims. The society’s site includes articles and links to other sites devoted to electronic privacy.
