View Tech Won’t Proceed With Power Data Purchase

Share

View Tech of Camarillo has elected not to proceed with the acquisition of Dallas-based Power Data Services.

After extensive negotiations and the completion of due diligence of Power Data’s operations, View Tech has determined that completing the acquisition would not be in the best interests of the company or its shareholders, View Tech officials said.

Robert G. Hatfield, chairman and chief executive officer of View Tech, said that, because of the termination of the Power Data transaction, View Tech will write off nonrecurring acquisition expenses of approximately $200,000. That will result in an after-tax expense of up to 7 cents per share for the quarter ending June 30, he said.
