People / Spotlight on achievers : Dean Gerrie Honored for Charity Work

Dean Gerrie has been named the 1996 Breath of Life award winner by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for 10 years of contributions to the organization.

Gerrie, president of Dean Gerrie Design in Irvine, is a foundation board member and vice president of the Cystic Fibrosis Guild.

An Orange County graphic designer and illustrator for 20 years, Gerrie won the 1996 Gold Award for the design of the Irvine Health Foundation’s Annual Report from the Washington-based Council on Foundations.

He is a faculty member at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, and a founding member and past president of Art Direction and Design in Orange County.
