Times Mirror Names CEO of Training Unit: Times Mirror Co. said Horst A. Bergmann, chairman, president and chief executive of its flight information publisher, Jeppesen Sanderson, will take on additional responsibilities as chief executive of Times Mirror Training Inc., effective immediately. Bergmann, 58, continues to oversee Jeppesen Sanderson. Edward E. Johnson, 52, senior vice president of Times Mirror and chief executive of Times Mirror Training, is leaving after 12 years of service to pursue opportunities in venture capital. Times Mirror Training provides sales, customer service and management training programs for business professionals throughout the world. Los Angeles-based Times Mirror publishes The Times.
