Rough Water Swim Scheduled for June 22

The 46th annual Huntington Beach rough water pier swim for those 12 and older will be June 22.

Sponsored by the Community Services Department, the event will feature races for men and women and will be divided according to age.

Competitions range from juniors, who are from 12 to 15 years old, to masters races for those 50 and older.

More than 100 people competed in last year’s ocean swim.

Preregistration, which ends Friday, costs $14 and includes a T-shirt.

Registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event for $12 but with no T-shirt included.
